Quick60 helps children who struggle with literacy to read

If you have a child who is not keeping up with the children in their class or maybe you are considering home-schooling or English might not be your child’s first language. Quick60 teaches children the basic English language skills in an authentic, natural and structured way, so they can become competent readers and spellers.

Quick60 is designed for children in Grades 1-3 who might not be engaging and are falling behind other children their age. The non-fiction range appeals to both older and younger children and all the children who have used Quick60 say that they love the books!

It is suitable for children starting school who have very little literacy knowledge and the Quick60 solution can be successfully used up to the seventh grade. It has and continues to be scientifically researched and tested in the United States and internationally to ensure it is of the highest standard.

Big Book Range

Our Big Books feature one character teaching the other characters different early reading skills, so the person reading the book to the children doesn’t need any educational knowledge. The Big Books teach your child about things like rhymes, alliteration, print concepts and syllables. Each book provides your child with opportunities to join in the reading, build their vocabulary and talk about the characters and the storyline.
There are 8 x 24 page Big Books per set to choose from.

Spelling and Vocab Cards

Our Quick60 Vocabulary and Spelling Cards introduce your child to 60 common word families each represented by an animal or insect name. Research shows that children who know word families quickly learn how to spell many words. For example, if you know how to spell cat you can spell bat, sat, pat etc. By learning 60 word families – your child will be able to spell more than 600 words.

From using the cards a CHILD can:

  • Learn animal and insect names and how to describe them
  • Orally suggest words the rhyme with the designated animal or insect name
  • Learn the spelling pattern
  • Write the spelling pattern to make new words
  • Learn the meanings of the new words they have made

Success Stories

My name is Enua. When I was eight I couldn’t read, and I was naughty. My teacher got me onto Quick60. I didn’t want to do it at first. But then I started to learn things and soon I was reading. By the time I was halfway through Set 2 I was helping the others in my class. My Quick60 teacher said I didn’t have to come any more but I wanted to keep coming coz I liked the books. Now I’m in seventh grade and I’m reading at a fifteen and a half year old level. Not naughty any more. Ha Ha!!!

ENUA

My wife doesn’t have much English. Our daughter was behind with reading and we were worried. Then she came home with these booklets and told us about them. She said she had to do them at home, and we could help her. It was the other way around – she helped us. She told us about the things that were in books like butterflies and polar bears. Now we know lots of things, and we can help her, and my wife’s English is getting much better.

I was worried about my five-year-old grandson. I hadn’t seen him for a while because of the coronavirus and I knew he hadn’t been to kindergarten. So I bought the Quick60 Big Books and read them to him on Facetime. He loved them. Now we play rhyming games over the phone. Next, I got the Quick60 Alphabet books and the Alphabet poem cards. I got a set and got a set sent to his house.. Now we have virtual grandma reading time every day. He thinks it’s fun. I know when he gets to school he’ll be okay with reading. Thank you Quick60
